Poomjai Garden recently had the great honor of welcoming a special group from Centraltham and the Kudjik Community Enterprise (วิสาหกิจชุมชนบ้านกุดจิก), a natural dye and textile weaving group from Ban Kudjik, Wanon Niwat District, Sakon Nakhon Province. The visit brought together community leaders and partners to discuss opportunities for developing local tourism and establishing Ban Kudjik as a learning center for natural dyeing.
This collaboration also aims to expand the “Forest of Color” project across 18 rai of land, using native plants as sources of natural dyes, while also laying out plans to improve Wat Pa Sophon Thammararam as a welcoming space for tourists, students, and anyone interested in learning about the intersection of culture, sustainability, and local wisdom.
Partnering for Purpose: Arsomsilp's Role in Bangkhunthian (Chomthong) Community Empowerment

We were also delighted to welcome our long-time partner, Arsomsilp Institute of the Arts, whose team brought thoughtful perspectives on community-driven engagement. With years of experience in collaborative urban development,
Arsomsilp shared valuable insights on ways to uplift local communities in Bang Khun Thian and Chom Thong districts, emphasizing the importance of inclusive design, cultural preservation, and sustainable living. Their presence enriched the dialogue and inspired all participants to dream bigger—for their communities, their people, and the environment.
Immersive Garden Experiences and Nature-Based Learning

As part of the visit, the group enjoyed a scenic boat ride and garden tour through the lush, fruit-filled grounds of Poomjai Garden. One of the highlights was handpicking Mayongchid (marian plum), a sweet seasonal fruit that thrives in our orchard.
Another key moment was a nature-based learning workshop where guests created their own tie-dye cloths using lychee leaves. This hands-on experience reflects our deep belief in the power of nature to teach, inspire, and connect people across backgrounds and generations.

Poomjai Garden: A Place to Grow, Share, and Inspire
We are proud to be a part of this meaningful journey toward community-led sustainable development, and we hope Poomjai Garden will continue to serve as a space for collaboration, creativity, and conscious living. Together, we can help amplify the beauty of Thailand’s natural and cultural heritage—one experience at a time.
